Solo travel guides

The freedom of solo travel is unmatched. Waking up for sunrise or sleeping in until 11am, eating macarons for breakfast or taking two trains and a bus to reach that one café on your bucket list, spending six hours in a museum or skipping it entirely because you’d rather go shopping instead. You get to experience the world on your own terms, at your own pace, without having to consider anyone else’s priorities or preferences.

I’ve travelled solo to more than 50 countries around the world, and I have to be honest with you, I’m a liiiiittle worried that solo travel has ruined me for life. I’m used to doing what I want when I want, making last minute itinerary changes to fit in a particular restaurant, and never having to run my decisions past anyone else or justify why I’ve been to Italy like ten times but haven’t been into the Colosseum (ummm because I’d rather spend my time searching for the city’s best pasta 🤷🏼‍♀️).

Compromise? Never heard of her 🙃

Whether you’re planning your first ever solo adventure or you’ve already mastered the art of exploring alone with confidence, these solo travel guides cover everything from destination tips and safety advice to solo-friendly activities, restaurants and accommodation.

Can’t find a guide for where you’re going? Request a blog post and I’ll add it to my list for my next writing session.
