If you’re looking for where to stay in Ubud, and if you want somewhere that feels like an escape from real life, look no further. Warwick Ibah is a jungle paradise with stunning villas, an epic pool and a super zen atmosphere. Just an absolute dream. These Ubud luxury villas have got to be on your hotel hit list.
What’s the vibe like?
I felt nothing but good vibes at this incredible Ubud resort. The staff were so friendly and always happy to have a chat, it was crazy beautiful and it felt like I was worlds away from the motorbike-packed streets of Ubud town. I was only there for a night (first world problems!) but it would be the perfect spot for a proper chill out holiday.
Where is Warwick Ibah?
Warwick Ibah is about a km from Ubud, super easy to get to by taxi. To get from Seminyak to Ubud it took me about 2.5 hours in a Blue Bird taxi, which was much longer than usual due to traffic. Not ideal but there’s no way around it unfortunately! One thing to note about Warwick Ibah is that they don’t allow taxi pick ups, if you want a ride somewhere you have to use their driver/transfers. This was frustrating as it cost more than a local cab, although it was easier than walking out to the road and hailing one myself.
How is the food?
I only had breakfast here and, while it was basic, it was a good start to a busy day. I had toast with scrambled eggs, a fruit salad and a smoothie.
How about the room?
My villa was MASSIVE. It had a gate and a short walkway so it felt like I had the whole resort to myself, there was a private deck and then a huge bedroom with an equally huge bathroom. The king bed had a mosquito net (I didn’t see a single mosquito anyway) and the in-room WiFi was great. I treated myself to a relaxing pre-bed bath after travelling 17 hours on a plane plus a three hour taxi ride, and twelve hours later I woke up from one of the best sleeps of my life.
And the famous pool?
Hands down the best part about these Ubud villas is the spectacular infinity pool in the middle of the jungle. I was at the hotel for 16 hours and I swam in it three times, and had it all to myself each time. The pool alone would be reason enough to go back here.
Warwick Ibah Villas would absolutely be my choice of luxury Ubud accommodation, and I’ll definitely be going back. Whether you’re a solo traveller looking to relax, a couple looking for a romantic getaway or a group needing a couple of rooms, there’s loads of options to suit any type of holiday. It’s perfect being slightly out of the craziness but still easy to reach the tourist spots, the villas are gorgeous and the pool is next level. Who’s coming with me?! Huge thanks to Warwick Ibah for hosting me for the night. As always, all opinions are my own and are based on my personal experience.
