The location was perfect for exploring southern Cornwall, most places were accessible in under an hours drive. We also visited St Ives on the north coast which was very easy using the train from St Erth. The house was very homely and Lisa’s helpful info was much appreciated.

The Engine House is a Grade 2 listed conversion in the stunning development that is Perran Foundry. 10 minutes from Falmouth beach, and 10 minutes from Truro city. Nestled on the banks of the river Kenall, The Perran Foundry is a World heritage site that is over 200years old!. The Engine House as the name suggests was the beating heart of the foundry. The building has been brought back to life and now boasts contemporary spaces set into the fabric of the old foundry buildings. The living room in The Engine House has a stunning vaulted beamed ceiling with log burner. This open plan room has a large breakfast bar that opens into the modern fully fitted kitchen with integrated Bosch appliances. On the ground floor there is one of the double bedrooms and a stylish bathroom with bath/shower. Upstairs is the second bedroom with stunning en-suite. The house has under floor heating and is decorated to an extremely high spec. All bed linen and towels are provided. unfortunately we do not accept any pets and only children over the age of 12years can stay at the property. The Engine House is 10mins from Falmouth and it's stunning beaches. Whilst the historic city of Truro is also 10 minutes away. The Cornwall Wildlife Trust's Devichoys Wood is directly on your doorstep and provides beautiful walks. There are 2 wonderful traditional Cornish pubs within walking distance of the property where wonderful home cooked food is served . Mylor, the renowned sailing hub , is a short 2 mile drive away. The famous Bissoe cycling route is a stones throw from The Foundry We would like to reassure our guests that our cleaning regime is undertaken to the highest of standards. Self check in means that you our guest can pick a check in time convenient to your needs( after 4pm) please feel free to contact me should you have any questions. Guests have access to the entire house and have the use of an allocated parking space adjacent to the property
I am passionate about sharing our home with guests from all around the world as Perran foundry is a hidden gem in the beautiful county that is Cornwall. I love travel and am passionate about learning about new cultures and traditions as well as tasting the wonderful food as I'm a real foody!
The engine house is positioned exactly halfway between Falmouth and Truro so you are spoilt for choice from the historic sites & shopping in Truro to the beaches of Falmouth and it's renowned sailing scene. We are also only a short drive to the amazing St.Ives and the epic Lizard peninsula.
