We feel privileged having a chance to stay at this beautiful house and spend the most amazing Christmas there! We can't find proper words to describe it, but the house is full of soul and beyond beautiful... Everything is designed so comfortably and library is a special cozy room to relax and get inspired. Kitchen and living room are very spacious, and of course the gas fireplace provides perfect ambience. The garden is a colorful little paradise, with the church and the lake being literally on your doorstep. It was so easy to just walk out and have a little stroll to the lake. And the hosts are extremely nice and welcoming people, full of local recommendations! Lake Tekapo is definitely worth staying (and coming back to) as long as you can, it is beautiful and serene, perfect to relax (even in the peak season). We would return in a heartbeat and someday it would be a dream come true to have a place like this of our own.
